Andy is a founder of UK Launch Services Ltd, formed in 2017. Prior to founding UKLSL, Andy worked for 14 years at Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL), holding Technical and Programme Leadership roles, and having been the Director of Engineering and CTO for 7 years. After leaving SSTL in 2015 he founded Bradspace, a Space Industry Consultancy, which is still active and provides expert consultancy services to a variety of institutional and commercial clients globally. Andy has been working in the space industry for over 25 years with at least 20 of those being hands on, with satellite and/or launch system developers. Andy was the European Representative for Firefly Space Systems from 2015-2017, led the UKSA study ‘Towards a UK Launch Infrastructure’ in 2013, and the commercial aspects of 2016 UKSA ‘SCEPTRE’ study into trade-off of commercial and technical options for establishing launch vehicle services from the UK. He is Vice-Chair of the UK Space Launch Committee.
