Charles Simpson joined Airbus in 2017 and now oversees the entire Airbus Defence & Space (ADS) portfolio in the Middle East, with products and services ranging from satellites and space exploration to fighter jets and strategic transport aircraft. He leads the team to support ADS customers in the region and manage the company strategy and local presence. Prior to joining ADS, Charles worked in the Philippines as the Chief Representative for Airbus in the country, leading on all commercial activity across the three Airbus divisions. In addition, he was the Managing Director of Airbus Helicopters Philippines. Charles has spent more than ten years working in the Middle East. Before joining Airbus to manage Airbus Helicopters’ regional sales team, he moved to the region to run BAE Systems’ corporate office in the UAE. Prior to this, he worked on major campaigns in the Middle East for BAE Systems out of its headquarters in London. Charles holds a Masters degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and a Bachelors degree in History from the University of Nottingham.
