Dr. Muhammad Rizwan Mughal is an Associate Professor at Electrical & Computer Engineering Department and Project Leader of the Space Engineering Lab at Sultan Qaboos University.With extensive background in Systems Engineering for small satellites, he has played key roles in CubeSat missions such as Aalto-1, Foresail-1, and APSCO SSS. His research focuses on Spaceborne AI and edge intelligence, plug-and-play satellite architectures, and embedded systems. He is currently focused on developing SQU’s space capabilities by building sustainable infrastructure and driving student-led satellite innovation.
