Hazzaa AlMansoori is the first Emirati astronaut. In 2019, he embarked on the UAE's first scientific mission to the International Space Station (ISS).
During his mission, AlMansoori conducted 31 scientific experiments, 16 of which were in cooperation with international space agencies.
He also served as the back-up for Sultan AlNeyadi during the UAE Mission 2, which was the longest Arab space mission. Additionally, AlMansoori made history as the first Arab Increment Lead for an ISS expedition.
Born on 13 December 1983 in Al-Wathba, Abu Dhabi, AlMansoori studied aviation and majored as a Military Pilot at the Khalifa bin Zayed Air College. Following graduation, he joined the armed forces.
