Olivier Lambeaux, a graduate of the Ecole Centrale de Paris engineering school and former auditor of the Institut des Hautes Etudes de la Défense Nationale (IHEDN), joined Matra Espace (now Airbus Defense & Space) in 1990, where he worked on several satellite systems, including the Helios 1 military observation satellite and the Envisat civil satellite. He joined Alcatel Espace (Thales Alenia Space to date) in 2001 to head systems engineering for the Syracuse 3 military telecommunications satellite space segment. In 2016 he took charge of Geo Information at Telespazio France, during which time he piloted the deployment of a large number of MESA and PUMA stations in Africa and contributed to GMES for Africa. In 2022, he joined New Space for Earth Observation, and set up the space business line of LTU, a startup specializing in computer vision, to develop the processing of space imagery. He is currently deputy director of LTU, and for several years has been lecturing at the Master 2 program at Université Toulouse 1 - Capitole France on the theme of "The strategic challenges of space and crisis analysis."
